Your comments:
Elizabeth Downs - "I was fascinated to see that Mrs. Crompton left £10 to her husband's cashier John Nuttall. John was my great, great, grandfather and obviously thought a great deal of his employer, because his youngest son, my great grandfather, was christened Thomas Bonsor Crompton Nuttall. I had often wondered where the name came from and was thrilled to discover the history of the Farnworth Mills and Rock Hall. John Nuttall and his family lived at Rock Cottage in 1851 - perhaps a tied cottage."
21 February. The Will with a Codicil of JANE CROMPTON, late of ROEHAMPTON in the County of SURREY, Widow, deceased who died 6 JANUARY 1865 at ROEHAMPTON aforesaid was proved at the PRINCIPAL REGISTRY by the oath of RALPH RADCLIFFE WHITEHEAD of AMBERLEY COURT near STROUD in the County of GLOUCESTER, ESQ., the sole Executor.
